In the aviation sector, James has extensive experience representing airlines and their insurers in litigation arising from the carriage by air, with an emphasis on personal injury, cargo and baggage claims. He also advises on a range of aviation-specific regulatory and compliance issues, including licensing, ticketing, privacy requirements, competition law rules, general operations, and the application of the conventions governing the international carriage by air.
In the maritime and trade sectors, his clients include commodity trading companies, charterers, vessel owners, cargo interests, port authorities, logistics companies and marine insurers.
