Matthew is a corporate lawyer who has gained his experience working in both the Middle East and London. 

Matthew primarily focuses on M&A, joint ventures, business/asset purchases, Foreign Direct Investment, commercial contracts and corporate structuring across a broad range of sectors including education, real estate, healthcare, technology, financial services, hospitality impact economy and social enterprise.

Matthew’s clients include Mulit-nationals, SMEs, public and private companies as well as government and government related entities, both regionally and internationally. 

Matthew is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales. Matthew also speaks German.

He is ranked in Legal 500 as a Key lawyer as well as a Recommended lawyer.

  • Advising Aldar Properties PJSC on its USD 1.17 billion acquisition of four prime Grade A commercial towers in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) from Mubadala Investment Company. The acquisition represents one of the largest real estate transactions in the UAE.
  • Advising Aldar Properties PJSC on its AED 810 million acquisition of the beachfront resort, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
  • Overseas counsel - advising the shareholders of DPO Group on the sale of DPO Group to Network International Holdings Plc for USD$ 288m.
  • Advising a leading Healthcare provider on the sale of its entire issued share capital to an international buyer.
  • Advising AIM quoted CentralNic Group Plc on its acquisition of the Hexonet Group, with international operations for consideration of up to €10 million and also on its acquisition of Ideegeo Group Limited for NZD 5.75 million.
  • Advising a leading manufacturer and supplier of aggregates, asphalt, cement and ready-mixed concrete with revenues of £1.29 billion on its acquisition of a UK based concrete company.
