Brooke advises corporate and government clients on all aspects of Commonwealth and State planning approval processes and compliance with environmental and planning laws. Brooke's strategic advice to clients on project and environmental approvals for infrastructure projects and commercial and residential development is complemented by her previous legal experience in development projects. 
Brooke advises clients on responding to investigations by regulatory authorities relating to environmental incidents and on the management of contaminated land.  She also provides ongoing advice to clients on various environmental risks, including waste, contaminated land and climate change.  
Brooke is a member of the firm's resilience team.  The team delivers solutions to clients with the aim of building organisational resilience.  Brooke has undertaken studies in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance and also holds a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science.  

Expérience
  • Project and environmental approvals, licences and environmental impact assessment – advising clients on all aspects of approvals and compliance with State and Commonwealth environment and planning laws for infrastructure and waste projects (including electricity and water distribution, rail and ports) and retail, commercial and residential development.
  • Environmental incidents and risk management- advising clients on responding to investigations by regulatory authorities relating to environmental incidents. Providing ongoing advice to clients on environmental risk management issues and environmental due diligence including assisting clients with developing environmental management strategies, policies and training.
  • Compulsory Land Acquisitions – advising and representing in Court statutory authorities and land owners on compulsory land acquisitions.
  • Contaminated land - advising clients on the sale and purchase of contaminated land. Providing advice to contractors on management of contaminated land, licences and contracts with subcontractors and landowners.
  • Litigation - representing development, statutory authority and government clients in the Land and Environment Court NSW and NSW Court of Appeal on planning appeals, development challenges and compulsory land acquisitions. 
  • Aboriginal heritage - advising clients on Aboriginal heritage issues.
