Katarina qualified as a German lawyer in 2015 and joined Clyde & Co. in February 2019 after having previously worked at other international maritime law firms in Hamburg. Katarina's practice focuses on litigation in the maritime sector including international commercial disputes, pilotage law and employment law. Recently she acted on behalf of numerous pilot associations in several interconnected court cases regarding remuneration and pension scheme disputes and advised clients on the Employment Law matters arising from a Share Purchase Agreement.
Katarina read law in Germany and Portugal. She completed her PhD in Marine Environmental Law at the University of Hamburg and obtained an LL.M. in Shipping Law from the University of Cape Town. In 2018 she successfully completed a specialist course for Labour Law (Fachanwaltslehrgang Arbeitsrecht). Katarina is one of the coordinators of the German Maritime Arbitration Association 40 (GMAA 40).
