Merinda is an Associate in the Melbourne office where her practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has experience in aviation matters including representing air carriers against passenger claims and advising on aircraft manufacturer liability. Merinda has also been involved in a representative action concerning biosecurity. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Merinda undertook a PhD at Leiden University on the topic of coastal state jurisdiction in international airspace. She holds an LLB and a BA from the University of Melbourne and an LLM in Air & Space Law from Leiden University. During her PhD appointment, Merinda lectured in air law at Leiden University and was Managing Editor of the journal Air & Space Law (Wolters Kluwer). She has been involved in various publications on the regulation of drones.
