The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has issued a new Data Protection Law that aligns the DIFC more closely with the data protection landscape in Europe. The new DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020 aims to further DIFC's desire to be recognised internationally as a top-tier jurisdiction for data protection.
Clyde & Co is proud to have acted for the DIFC Authority on the drafting of the new law. Our interactive briefing provides an introduction to the legislation and outlines what you need to know and how to best prepare your organisation. We would be delighted to advise you further on compliance issues and can offer a range of services to firms operating in the DIFC, including assistance with updating current policies and documentation to meet the requirements of the new law.
Please contact any of our team if you have questions or if you would like to know more about our compliance packages.
