Global law firm Clyde & Co has advised Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, on its winning bid for a joint venture with Transport for London (TfL).
Together TfL and Grainger will deliver over 3,000 new homes across eight seed sites in London, with a minimum of 40% affordable homes on all new planning consents, and the remainder predominantly for the private rental market.
Clyde & Co advised Grainger on the legal aspects of the bid including providing property, corporate, tax and procurement advice.
The Clyde & Co team advising on the deal was led by partners John Pearce and Richard Elks, with support from Associate Henry Taylor.
Richard Elks, partner at Clyde & Co, comments: "We're delighted to have advised Grainger on its bid for the JV with TfL. It's another important mixed use project that will help to tackle London's housing shortage. The planned developments will play an integral role in providing a pipeline of much needed new homes across the capital."
