Clyde & Co’s Energy team announce the arrival of David Leckie as a partner in the team. He is the 10th new partner to join the team in the last 12 months – his appointment means that it has doubled in size in that period.
"This is a burgeoning sector of activity for us” commented Victor Rae-Reeves. “Our energy clients' needs cross all areas: whether that is advice on M&A, financing, transportation, construction, trading or dispute resolution, and our growing resources across the team mean we have a very strong proposition to offer.
“I am delighted to welcome David to the firm. His credentials and experience are first class and his reputation in heavyweight health and safety litigation and oil & gas disputes is well-recognised. He is joining us at an exciting period of growth and we are looking forward to working with him to drive the business forward.”
David Leckie commented “The strength of the Clyde & Co energy team across all aspects of the sector, both contentious and non-contentious, transactional and advisory, combined with the broad international network of Clyde & Co and clear strategies for expansion in emerging markets such as Africa, makes for a powerful offering to clients.”
The Legal 500 commented that Clyde & Co’s "depth of knowledge in the energy sector is exemplary". David is ranked in the Chambers, Legal 500 and Chambers Europe directories as a leading expert in dispute resolution in the sector.
David was formerly a partner at Maclay Murray & Spens
