Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP (BLG) has reported a strong start to 2010/2011, with profit 58 per cent higher than the first six months of the last financial year.
Income was also up, increasing by 17 per cent on the same period in 2009/2010.
The firm has been buoyed by strong performances from all its offices, both in the UK and overseas, and by its significant expansion in Manchester in the summer.
BLG Chief Executive, David Jabbari, said: "We have had to take some painful decisions over the last 18 months to ensure the firm was structured in the best way for us to continue to deliver market-leading advice to our clients. These decisions are now bearing fruit.
“We are looking at strategic opportunities for further expansion both in the City and internationally, while continuing to focus on our core markets and increasing profitability."
