Salsabel Abuazza is a paralegal in the aviation practice group. Her practice consists mainly of contentious aviation matters, where she advises airlines and their insurers on general liability matters such as personal injury, cargo disputes and baggage claims, as well as matters relating to Regulation 261/2004 on denied boarding, cancellation and delay. 

She has advised national carriers on claims and disputes brought in several jurisdictions, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America, with a particular focus on claims handling in the context of the Montreal Convention 1999.

Salsabel is fluent in Arabic and English.

Expérience

• Advising several major international carriers and their insurers in responding to and defending claims for bodily injury, baggage and cargo delay and/or damage.
• Advising airlines and their insurers on matters relating to Regulation 261/2004 on denied boarding, cancellation and delay.
• Assisted on matters relating to injured PRM passengers. 
• Advised an African carrier on an act of public authority relating to a seized cargo shipment.
• Advised an airline carrier on a human rights claim in North America.
