Alex advises clients in various sectors (included regulated sectors) on the full range of employment law matters.

He has particular experience in Employment Tribunal litigation, conducting his own advocacy at Tribunal hearings (including at final hearings) where appropriate to do so. This experience enables Alex to provide pragmatic, real-world advice on day-to-day HR matters such as investigations, grievances, exits and settlement discussions. He also regularly provides training to clients on employee relations issues.

Alex also advises on high-value breach of contract claims and business protection matters, and has significant experience in advising on the enforceability of restrictive covenants.

Expérience

• Appearing at Employment Tribunal hearings to determine the issue of an individual’s employment status and successfully representing both individual and corporate clients 
• Advising both individuals and employers on restrictive covenants and business protection matters 
• Representing employers on complex and sensitive employee exits, including negotiating the terms of settlement agreements
• Acting on the full range of Employment Tribunal claims, ranging from simple claims such as those for unlawful deductions from wages to complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims
• Advising on both the collective and individual consultation aspects of substantial organisational restructures
• Appearing at Employment Tribunal final hearings and successfully defending claims brought by former employees for unfair dismissal and constructive unfair dismissal
