Amalia is a practicing Advocate in Tanzania with twelve years' experience dealing with complex legal matters relating to M&A, mining, energy, regulatory and the overall commercial practice. Currently Amalia heads our corporate team in Tanzania. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Amalia worked with international law firms based in London and has done numerous cross border transactions within and outside of East Africa across various sectors. Also, she has represented clients and been involved in negotiations with Government authorities particularly on matters relating to framework agreements, power purchase agreements, production sharing agreements, gas supply agreements and the like. Her knowledge and experience in Tanzania laws is exceptional and she has a unique ability to analyse legal transactions from both the legal and commercial perspectives which is appreciated by clients.
