Zoe is an associate in the Corporate Tax Team and joined in October 2023.  Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Zoe worked in tax in both Australia and New Zealand. 

Zoe has experience in areas of tax including M&A transactions, private client matters, international tax, real estate taxes and employment taxes, and frequently provides bespoke advice in these areas to clients across different industries.  

Her practice has a particular focus on real estate tax issues, including those arising in relation to the application of the construction industry scheme, stamp duty land tax, inducements and transfers of properties. She is also experienced in dealing with a range of employment tax issues.

Expérience
  • Real estate taxes – advising large UK companies on a variety of tax issues relating to their portfolio of leases, including the construction industry scheme, SDLT and VAT.  
  • International tax – advising clients with cross-border operations on various relevant tax issues including permanent establishment risk.
  • M&A tax - providing tax structuring advice, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, advising insurers offering tax warranty and indemnity insurance and carrying out tax due diligence.
  • Employment taxes – advising employers on a wide array of tax issues ranging from employee incentive schemes to the tax treatment of settlement agreements.
