JC is dual-qualified as a barrister and solicitor in British Columbia and as an Australian legal practitioner. Fluent in English and French, he brings close to twenty years of litigation experience across Quebec, Vancouver and Brisbane, Australia, including experience with the firm’s Vancouver and Brisbane offices.

He developed his interest within the firm's Energy, Marine & Natural Resources team in Australia, where he has worked on admiralty and shipping matters including collision and carrier-liability claims, marine regulatory disputes and marine-related class actions.

His litigation experience covers construction and infrastructure disputes, commercial claims, professional negligence and insurance coverage matters, including large, multi-party proceedings arising from multi-million-dollar projects.

JC has been serving as a commissioned officer in the Canadian Armed Forces for nearly two decades. He holds the rank of Lieutenant (Navy) and is currently serving his second term as Commanding Officer of RCSCC 47 Captain Vancouver, based at HMCS Discovery in Stanley Park.
