Philip Weissman is Senior Counsel in Clyde & Co’s Aviation practice, bringing more than a decade of experience in aviation regulation, litigation, and emerging aviation technologies.

Philip has extensive experience in state and federal courts representing both foreign and domestic air carriers in commercial and tort litigation. His litigation practice includes defending air carriers in several high-profile passenger injury and wrongful death claims.

His regulatory experience includes advising air carriers and aviation-related companies on a broad range of issues, including passenger safety, consumer protection, and airport regulation.
Prior to rejoining Clyde & Co, Philip served as Director of Aviation at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Philip has also lectured on drone law and policy as part of an international aviation LL.M. program and frequently presents on legal and policy developments involving advanced air mobility and unmanned aircraft operations.

He is the former Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Air & Space Law Committee.
