Michelle works on D&O and PI coverage matters, including significant class actions within the Supreme Court of NSW, Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia. Michelle also regularly works on direct defence for D&O and PI defence and subrogated recovery actions.
Michelle also regularly acts for insured clients under Management Liability, Employment Practices Liability or similar policies.
Prior to settling in complex insurance, Michelle also gained experience with our professional disputes and construction teams and has experience with personal injury claims and construction PI claims.

- Acting on behalf of primary and excess insurers in respect of proceedings focused on alleged breaches of directors' duties and solvency obligations of Australia's largest iron ore producers
- Providing coverage advice regarding commercial litigation disputes, specifically with reference to the Corporations Act

- Acting for insurers on contentious joinder applications
- Acting for a bank in defence of three class actions in the Federal Court of Australia with a particular focus on the scope trustee's duties to superannuation fund noteholders
- Acting for insured directors in shareholder oppression proceedings and alleged breaches of directors' duties
- Acting for insureds under Management Liability or Employment Practices Liability policies
Recoveries
- Acting for an insurer on a recovery action against a property in Victoria arising out of a large fire.
