Tyler Greatrex joined Clyde & Co's Perth office as an Associate in February 2025 having spent 3 years at a boutique firm specialising in general commercial litigation. Tyler was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in August 2022 and to the High Court of Australia in September 2022.

Prior to commencing his career in law, Tyler was a member of the 8th/12th Regiment of the Royal Australian Artillery in the Australian Army. It was during his military service that Tyler developed critical skills which aid him in dealing with complex and high intensity matters.
Tyler is a commercial litigator with experience in commercial debt recovery, subrogated recovery, insurance claims, insolvency and restructuring and trade practices compliance. Tyler has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in all courts in Australia.
Tyler prides himself on providing pragmatic advice to his clients and adopting a commercially sensible approach to resolving disputes. Where a matter is not resolved and requires intervention by the courts, Tyler's attention to detail in preparing for court and his ability to think critically and laterally assists his clients to achieve the best possible outcome.
Tyler's experience in advocacy is broad and has ranged from minor disputes in the Magistrates Court of Western Australia to commercial debt recovery and public liability matters in the District Court of Western Australia to matters related to director’s and officers’ duties, relief for specific performance, claims for breach of contract and claims for damages in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

- Acted for a former ASX listed Energy & Resources company in respect of an application to terminate its liquidation so that it could be reinstated.
- Acted for various plaintiffs (including national insurance firms) in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in respect of issuing statutory demands and winding up applications.
- Acted for a former executive employee in respect of a wrongful termination and equitable estoppel matter in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
- Advised an International Engineering Firm in respect of a $14.5 million liability.
- Acted for various local government bodies across WA in respect of recovering delinquent debts including damages following breach of contract and non-payment of local government rates.
