Chris is a Legal Director in Clyde & Co’s Projects & Construction Group, based in the London office, who has been at the firm for 10 years. He has extensive experience of advising owners/developers, contractors and consultants in relation to major infrastructure and energy projects, primarily in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Chris has extensive experience of all forms of dispute resolution, including major litigation in the Technology and Construction Court in England and Wales, international arbitration under the ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules, statutory and contractual adjudication and alternative dispute resolution. He also has extensive experience of the main standard form construction contracts, including JCT, FIDIC and NEC, in addition to bespoke construction contracts and ancillary documentation.

Chris previously spent six months on secondment at Clyde & Co’s Dar es Salaam office in Tanzania.

Chris is a member of the Society of Construction Law and the Technology and Construction Solicitors’ Association.

  • Acting for a major company in relation to complex TCC litigation regarding a large mixed-use development in the UK.
  • Acting for an international contractor in relation to an ICC arbitration relating to a major energy project in North Africa.
  • Acting for a major contractor in relation to a series of adjudications regarding a large commercial development in the UK.
  • Advising a major port owner in relation to a bespoke suite of interconnecting contracts for the construction of significant port and road facilities in the UK.
  • Advising a multinational energy group in relation to EPC contracts and power purchase agreements relating to a number of solar projects in the Middle East.
  • Advising a major supplier in relation to a dredging contract for port facilities in the UK.
