Maria is a dual qualified construction and infrastructure disputes lawyer (England & Wales and Greece), with extensive international experience across common law and civil code jurisdictions, particularly in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Her practice primarily focuses on construction litigation, professional indemnity claims and dispute resolution. Maria handles technically complex disputes in the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors. She regularly represents contractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals in a range of domestic and international disputes, also advising on risk assessment and mitigation, and strategic dispute avoidance.
Maria has extensive experience representing clients in court proceedings, adjudications, mediations, and international arbitrations under all main institutional rules, including ICC and LCIA. She is well-versed in all major forms of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT, FIDIC) and guides clients through complex legal issues throughout the life cycle of a project.
Prior to qualifying in England & Wales, Maria practiced law in Greece, with experience in civil code disputes, transactions and contracting.

- Acting for a European contractor in a series of adjudications touching on contract formation, negligent design, defaults, delays and termination claims and counterclaims arising out of a D&B contract in relation to a data centre in Ireland
- Acting for an international architectural practice in an ADCCAC arbitration concerning various claims and counterclaims in relation to the design and construction of an airport in the Gulf
- Advising a leading international contractor on a series of defects claims arising out of the design and construction of a car park in the UK
- Acting for a building contractor in an ICC arbitration in relation to the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Qatar
