Matthew R. Martinez focuses his practice on insurance coverage and defense litigation. Matthew represents insurers and their insured in complex coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and liability defense matters across a range of industries. His experience includes analyzing coverage under commercial general liability, professional liability and excess policies, and providing strategic guidance to clients through all stages of litigation.

Licensed in New Mexico and Colorado since 2020, Matthew has appeared in both state and federal courts throughout these regions. Before joining Clyde & Co, Matthew gained valuable experience handling insurance and civil defense matters at regional firms, which informs his understanding of the challenges insurers face in the Southwest. He is committed to achieving favorable outcomes through thoughtful advocacy and a strong command of insurance law.
