Sammani has extensive experience in arbitration, construction law, dispute resolution, and litigation, with a proven track record of handling loan recovery matters for banks and financial institutions. 

Prior to his current role, Sammani gained valuable experience managing businesses in the travel and tourism sector, providing him with insights into commercial and corporate operational challenges.

Sammani is licenced to practice in Ghana and is a notary public. In addition, he is a member of the International Bar Association, Ghana Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

Sammani is fluent in French.

Expérience
  • Representing a foreign client in a human rights action for wrongful expropriation of land, securing a favourable court judgment for compensation.
  • Representing a Turkish Real Estate company to resolve a stockholder dispute, paving the way for the construction of a multi-million dollar high-rise residential and commercial property in Accra.
  • Representing a leading construction firm in Ghana in recovering a USD 470,386 performance bond from an insurer after a subcontractor defaults on delivering materials for a stadium renovation project, ensuring compensation for project delays.
  • Representing a bank in securing a favourable ruling in the Supreme Court against a former Managing Director of a local bank for breaching fiduciary duties and causing a USD 96 million loss. 
  • Representing a construction company in successfully opposing an injunction application which, if granted, would prevent the construction company from developing a 15-storey residential block.
  • Assisting a client in negotiating a settlement with a UN agency over a construction dispute, saving the client approximately USD 600,000 in arbitration fees, liquidated damages, and costs.
