Mina Beshara handles a wide array of litigation matters representing clients in the consumer financial services and insurance practice groups. Mina focuses his practice on first- and third-party complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation. He counsels and represents domestic and foreign insurers on issues arising under a wide range of insurance policies, including commercial general liability, Bermuda-form excess liability, property and casualty, professional liability, directors and officers liability, errors and omissions coverage, and various specialty coverages. He also handles civil defense and trial practice, focusing on serving businesses and insurers in high-value and complex litigation matters involving specialized tort in the transportation and healthcare sectors.
Mina has substantial experience handling jury trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings in both New York and New Jersey state and federal courts. He has litigated coverage and subrogation actions in state and federal courts, and has successfully argued complex coverage issues on appeal. He has also had success in London arbitrations on behalf of insurers on key coverage issues. Additionally, Mina has assisted underwriters in the drafting and editing of policy wording, including project-specific and owner's interest development endorsements, for a major insurance carrier. He has also previously worked in-house for an international insurer, where he was the US assistant Corporate Legal Counsel handling regulatory and compliance matters.
