Tim is a Legal Director in the London office. He joined the firm in December 2022 from an international law firm.

He specialises in commercial dispute resolution, often of an international nature, with a focus on aviation finance disputes, including disputes under purchase and leasing agreements. He is experienced in international arbitration under a variety of institutional rules.  He regularly advises on the interpretation and termination of commercial agreements and has experience of ADR, including mediation.

Tim is ranked as a “rising star” for commercial litigation in the Legal 500 where he was described as “a resourceful litigator, who is always on top of the detail and ensures he secures positive results for clients.”

  • Acted on US$ 40 million claim by aircraft manufacturer under a purchase agreement in the Court of Appeal (De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited v SpiceJet Limited [2021] EWCA CIV 1834)
  • Acted on US$10 million claim in the Commercial Court under aircraft leasing agreements and enforcement and insolvency proceedings in Kenya
  • Acted on LCIA arbitration concerning termination of aircraft leasing arrangements.
  • Acted on DIFC-LCIA arbitration concerning an aircraft management agreement.
  • Advised a claimant in Commercial Court proceedings against three defendants under a complex aircraft leasing and security structure
  • Advised on £10 million dispute under a structured loan facility
  • Acted on ICC arbitration concerning a contract for transport and logistics in Iraq.
  • Acted on US$ 40 million+ LCIA arbitration in relation to the construction of a hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia.
