Akua is a partner at Legal Ink in association with Clyde & Co and is based in the Accra office. She currently leads the firm's practices in maritime, aviation, transportation, and logistics law. Akua has experience advising clients on commercial, employment disputes, and real estate matters.
Akua has extensive experience in dispute resolution, working with clients operating in the agritech, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation sectors.
Prior to her current role, Akua has served on several boards as a member and secretary, assisting many clients with governance structure matters.
Akua is licensed to practice in Ghana and has over a decade of experience practicing in the courts of Ghana. In addition, Akua is a notary public. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, International Bar Association, and Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

Assisting a financial institution in restructuring its credit department, including revising its credit documents to ensure compliance with current laws and reduce the rate of defaults.
Assisting a catering company in settling a dispute with an offshore oil company regarding the provision of victuals and catering crew services, saving the company USD 1 million.
Settling claims in favour of a mortgage company against defaulting mortgagors, leading to the restructuring of facilities totalling USD 5 million and the recovery of approximately USD 1 million.
Securing a favourable judgment for a beverage manufacturing company against a claim amounting to USD 450,000 in a product liability case.
