Miguel's practice is mainly focused on contentious claims, both domestic and international, especially on construction, property, fire and professional liability. He has also been involved in product liability, energy, machinery breakdown, health and safety, marine and transport claims. He has wide experience in litigation, having led major disputes in all types of jurisdictions and Tribunals, including international arbitration.

Miguel has a double degree in Law and Business Administration. He is a regular lecturer on Tort Law in the Access to Advocacy Master of the Pontifical University Comillas (ICADE), where he is also member of ICADE's Cluster of Professors, and also regularly lectures in the International Law Master Programme at “Instituto Superior de Derecho y Empresa (ISDE)”. He has written numerous articles on insurance law and is a member of the Publishing Committee of the specialized law magazine “Responsabilidad Civil y Seguro".
